UFA, Inc. Continues to Support the United States Navy

Burlington, MA., November 10, 2020 – UFA, Inc. (UFA), a leading provider of Air Traffic Simulation and Voice Technologies, continues to support the United States Navy (USN) by performing hardware technical refresh and upgrades on the previously delivered ATTower Tower Simulator Systems (TSS). This delivery covers thirty-eight ATTower TSS at thirty-four USN and United States Marine Corps (USMC) facilities, including five systems for the Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) in Pensacola, FL.

These systems provide high-fidelity air traffic control training capabilities to the USN and USMC, assisting in maintaining controller’s proficiency and currency.  The ATTower systems provide out of the window airport visuals for each facility, customized controller tools replicating systems in the field, and voice recognition control. The TSS supports the complete training cycle from developmental to on-the-job training. By refreshing the hardware with newer, more efficient models, the USN’s TSS is assured to remain operationally functional.

UFA’s dedicated USN team were met with unforeseeable challenges caused by the global pandemic. Adapting to these hurdles and following strict safety protocols, the UFA-USN team has already completed sixteen hardware refreshes covering twelve different sites.

Updates to the airport visual databases and enhancement to the ATTower software will be delivered in 2021.
