UFA ATCoach® GE, Leidos SkyLine-X Serve Airways Corporation New Zealand

Burlington, MA., May 2, 2018 – UFA, Inc. (UFA), a leading provider of Air Traffic Simulation and Voice Technologies, announced that its ATCoach Global Edition Radar Simulator has been selected by Leidos to serve as the test simulator for the Airways Corporation New Zealand (ACNZ) Automation Modernization Program.

UFA’s ATCoach GE simulator will provide a comprehensive set of surveillance, flight, and weather data to Leidos’ SkyLine-X Automation System as a part of their internal and acceptance testing activities. The ATCoach simulator will be delivered to Airways Corporation New Zealand for continued testing throughout the program lifetime.

Using powerful test scenario definition tools, test engineering staff are able to define specific traffic and messaging scenarios to support all types of testing including functional, error case, stability, and performance test cases. ATCoach has been evolved to allow detailed control of ATM messaging traffic to create both automated messaging scenarios as well as manually tuned messaging scenarios to test special case situations.

“We are pleased to be selected by Leidos to continue providing a test platform for their SkyLine-X Automation System. While ATCoach is well known as a training platform, it is less known as a comprehensive test and validation platform used by a number of prime integrators and air navigation service providers. This program allows UFA to extend our portfolio of international surveillance, flight, and weather standards within ATCoach GE for both integrated test and training uses,” remarks UFA President Larry Pennett.
